How is it in India?

• Students here have to undergo grueling coaching classes and tedious schedules to achieve the XII Std success.
• Then there are entrance exams like CET etc to almost every school that offers admission.
• Moreover this success does not always guarantee admission in the desired subject or in the desired college. Even generous donations do not always help.
• Once one misses the boat, life is uncertain.
• Fees are almost at par to colleges in USA.

• Freedom to pursue any field of study:

  • Typically in India, science students are the only privileged ones to do Medicine and Engineering and there are umpteen restrictions in India for students changing major subjects as per their liking. It is almost impossible to change after XII STD. At this early age, student finds it difficult to determine the liking of subject With Dr Edke's method students can change majors and also need not have science background to pursue IT field specializations.
  • My Take: US education not only offers variety of subjects and fields of choice but it allows you to grow innately and learn the nuances of the industry. The subjects need to be taken up fervently and savored to achieve success in the field chosen.
